Updates!

Carol, Leigh Ann, & I had an executive board meeting last night to refine some details for next weekend. I have heard from everyone - pretty much - so here is what we finalized.

Friday night: 8:00 pm at Carol's
Weenie Roast and smores
Bring your own lawn chair and drinks

Saturday: 9:30 - 11:00 AM
Play with the kids! Kids games and activities at Carol's.
There is a playground and sprinkler (bring bathing suits).
(Maybe Tobey can hitch a ride with Grandma & Grandpa if you come up then)

11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Lunch at Carol's
Also a time to visit!

1:00 - 4:00 pm
A time to do what you want! There are many things to do.
Some may want to go see Luke's progress on the new house and The Blueberry Patch
is very close to the new house. There is also miniature golf and regular golf.
Little ones can nap.

Swimming can start anytime!

Supper will be around 6 pm
Eating, swimming, visiting etc will continue!

This is just a "loose" schedule of what we can do.

Please bring your own desired drinks and beach towels. Everything else will
be furnished.

Sunday - cancelled

New Update!!!

Well - August 8 is fast approaching. Some of got together this week and put together an outline of what we tentitively have planned. We have mailed those out to all of you. Please look it over and mark what parts you will be attending and mail back. We just want to get some kind of idea of how many to plan for for the meals etc. Breakfasts and Lunchs - do we plan for 50 or 20?? Get the idea? I believe we are at a total of 52 with 4 on the way!

Hope all of you have a happy 4th of July!
Keep watching for new updates.

Mother Loved Pink!

Well, I hope you all had a happy Mothers Day. It was cold, rainy, and overcast all day around here. But, Jim, Sara, and I took Jim's mom out for a movie and dinner and had a very nice afternoon and evening.
It was a sad day without Mom and tears were close to the surface all day - but so were all the beautiful memories of a wonderful lady.

There aren't a lot of updates on the family weekend. Carol has been gallivanting around for the last couple of weeks and Gwen's been pampering Harry - so there hasn't been alot of planning done lately.

But keep checking in - August will be here before we know it!

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone has a blessed Easter weekend. I have enjoyed reading Val's, Leigh Ann's, and Sara's blogs on Easter and it's blessings.

The executive committee for this upcoming fabulous family weekend would like to know who is planning to come for what parts. There will be:
Friday evening - This will probably be pretty casual - maybe a bonfire and weenie roast and everyone getting settled in.
Saturday - We are thinking that we will have:
Breakfast
Kid Activities in the A.M.
Golf Outing & swimming in the afternoon
Maybe a scrapbooking session for the girls.
Cook out for supper
Maybe a "dive-in" movie - poolside.
Swimming in evening before fireworks at dark.
Sunday:
Open air church service / breakfast.

Any and all ideas are welcome but we are starting to think about food - beds - etc. and a head count will help.
Thanks
Charley
